Woke up this morning alone because SG slept on the couch downstairs (ostensibly to be close to the fireplace, but who knows). I keep waking up earlier and earlier each day, which is actually kind of a pain in the ass since it means I get tired earlier and earlier too. But this morning it means I worked, played some games, knitted, and watched the end of The American President on Amazon Prime Streaming Video all before 10 am.

Shitty day at work. Not the worst ever, but I was so upset I felt like breaking down most of the day. Instead I stuck it out and went for fondue for dinner and painted my nails.

I ordered some new nail polish the other
day from Amazon. I thought it
was prime eligible, and certainly shipping was free. But boy was I pissed when I realized it won’t arrive
till next week. What happened to 2 day shipping? OH, Amazon Marketplace. I have to wait
till next week for more cool nail polishes. Yes,
plural.

My phone tells me it’s 43F outside. Can I go back to Cabo please? Or Miami? Oh! Miami! Maybe I’ll go next weekend!

Met with Gus and the mediator today and things seem to be peacefully moving along. Thank god. Also got a French manicure. At least my nails look good.

Bellodawg’s 2 weeks with me while Gus was out of town is ending tomorrow. Next week we will begin our regular custody-sharing arrangement. I find I love having Bello around but also am looking forward to the freedom again of not having to worry about him every day.

it is probably good I’m going to see my newish psychiatrist/therapist this week. I am doing pretty well but everything has kind of a blah down feeling to it. I feel old, unpleasant, lazy, and uninspired.

After getting my haircut yesterday I found myself dwelling on the family of white hairs that has really gained prominence in my head over the last year or so. I’ve had a couple of white strands for years, but now it’s getting positively salt and peppery. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if I weren’t seeing a guy who is both younger than me and seemingly very conscious of how much older I am. I don’t need this reminder. Even if I actually think it looks kind of cool.
